Theo co-founded Shore Financial in 2013 following his success within the finance broking industry where he successfully implemented a market leading financial services offering across the McGrath Estate Agents network for Oxygen Home Loans. Theo has since then built Shore Financial to being a business which originally was writing $5m a month in home loan applications with only 3 staff, to now over $200m a month in home loan applications with over 110 staff and ranking as the #1 Independent Brokerage in Australia for several consecutive years since 2016. In addition to this, Shore Financial has also won Best Brokerage in Australia 8 times at various industry awards nights, along with winning Best Online Presence, Best Customer Service and AFG’s Champion Broker Group 6 years in a row.
Theo also managed to take Shore Financial within the first year of trading to receive The Australian Finance Group Top 5 Brokerage of NSW 2014, Best New Brokerage of the Year 2014 and most importantly the Better Business Awards Best Independent Brokerage of 2015. He is now a frequent guest speaker at many industry events sharing insights and strategies for all within the industry, along with hosting his own Shore Financial Property & Finance Podcast in which he attracts countless high profile guest speakers being either industry leaders in finance, real estate or banking and various chief economists or data analysts within financial services or the property sector.
Outside of mortgage broking, Theo separately built an education business to 147 staff within two years making it the second largest education aggregator in Australia. He has a knack for building businesses by leading and motivating individuals to be the best of their capabilities. He is a trusted leader who inspires staff by instilling high expectations and driving them to fulfil these expectations by constant positive influence.
His business values and ethics have been taught to him by a family bloodline of business owners and entrepreneurs including liquor tycoons Theo Karedis and Steven Chambers.
