As part of the support team at Shore Financial, Laura’s role is vital in ensuring all loan applications are submitted and pre-approved on time for settlement.

Managing the process, meeting deadlines, juggling priorities and being the liaison point between lenders and clients are all part of her day-to-day work.

“We’re there for clients every step of the way,” she says, “and it’s always so fantastic when the deal is done and everything is finalised.”

With a degree in Business Management and several years in client service roles in other industries, Laura ended up in mortgage broking quite by chance, but it’s a role she loves.

“This is the stuff that real life is made of, and I’ve always thought that it was such a privilege that clients put so much trust in us to make it all happen and that’s something I am incredibly conscious of. People’s dreams are in our hands.”

Having just bought a property herself, Laura knows first-hand how stressful it can be.

“I am always able to approach clients’ applications with a cool, clear head, but during my own, I was nervous, excited, worried… there was a whole range of emotions I wasn’t expecting. It’s really given me a whole new level of empathy for clients.”
